The visit supported our work on the Tudors as the house was built during the reign of Elizabeth I. It is supposed to be the third most haunted house in England.
The children dressed up as either a knight or a princess and we had a tour of the house. The huge fireplaces, wooden four-poster beds and stories of straw filled mattresses and mouse fur eyebrows captured the children’s imaginations, never mind a visit to the dungeon!
